About Michael
Michael Briggs has been drawn to photography his whole life. He was awarded First Place in the photo competition at the Thin Line Festival, a recognition that reflects his careful eye and steady approach to the craft.
Originally known for live concert photography and portraits of bands shot in his Denton recording studio, Michael excels at capturing atmosphere and authentic moments in both low-light venues and controlled studio settings. His concert and portrait work informs his approach to lighting, composition and timing.
He is expanding his practice to include portraits, weddings, drag performance and professional and business headshots, offering tailored sessions for individuals, couples, bands and organizations.
Michael brings a client-focused, collaborative approach to every shoot: clear communication, thoughtful composition and lighting and consistent post-production to deliver polished images on a dependable schedule. Based in Denton and serving Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding Metroplex, he is available for travel. Services
I offer studio and on-location portrait sessions, professional and business headshots, wedding coverage, drag performance photography, concert and event coverage, and editorial assignments. Sessions are customizable to fit your needs and style. Deliverables include a private online gallery for selects, professional retouching, high resolution files for print and web, and optional print or album packages.
Process
Every project starts with a short consultation to define goals, style and logistics. We choose the location and plan lighting and equipment based on the look you want, whether that means a controlled studio setup or shooting in low-light venues. On shoot day I focus on clear direction and capturing natural moments. After the shoot I provide proofs, accept your selects, and complete final retouching with consistent color and tone. Final images are delivered on a dependable schedule and I handle travel arrangements for sessions in Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton.
